Dawn Scannell has called Houston home since 1985, when she became a member of the esteemed Houston Ballet. She performed with them for her 16 year career as a Principal Ballerina, thus performing the leads in many world premieres. If you have attended the Houston Ballet in the past two decades, you have seen her perform.
Ms. Scannell recently spent three years as the Ballet Mistress for Houston Ballet, and feeling that she had achieved all of her artistic goals and dreams, chose to leap into another artistic endeavor that has been a long time interest and passion of hers as well, fine jewelry.
Ms. Scannell designed and created her own custom jewelry for a five year period, which was distributed exclusively at a boutique in West Palm Beach, in Florida. She has also completed G.I.A. educational coursework and continues to further her education.
Ms. Shelley Peran has over 31 years of experience, 21 of which were as one of the founding owners and president of the now legendary Brecashe Jewelers, based in Boynton Beach, Florida. Brecashe, which had 15 employees and a client base of over 30,000, was known for its superb customer service.
Shelley has honed an intense and remarkable sense of entrepreneurship when she ventured out on her own at only 26 years of age. She has always found the creative aspects of the business inherently rewarding, and readily shares that as her favorite part of the customer service. Shelley is renowned as a jeweler’s jeweler, an expert who routinely advises and consults both clients and customers from all over the world.
